Nexalgo SM Oscillator

Momentum, money flow and absorption in one pane, with the signals that matter at the turns.

Momentum line

The main line runs from 0 to 100, with a midline at 50 and guide lines at 85 and 15. Its measuring window adjusts itself to the pace of the market. The line takes the colour of its direction, and a thin grey ribbon widens when it moves quickly.

  1. The line turns up from below 15 and takes the rising colour.
  2. A fast move: the grey ribbon around the line widens.
  3. The line turns down above 85 and changes colour again.

Money flow

A shaded area around the midline shows whether buying or selling volume leads: above it while buying leads, below it while selling leads. Accumulated mode shows the build-up over weeks, Rolling mode reacts faster.

  1. Buying volume takes the lead: the area rises above the midline.
  2. Selling takes over: the area flips below the midline.

Pressure bands

Two bands sit just outside the 0 to 100 range. They light up when heavy volume trades without price moving: the top band while the line is in the upper half, where buying is being met, the bottom band in the lower half, where selling is being met.

  1. Price stalls near the high on heavy volume: the top band lights up, buying is being met.
  2. Near the low, heavy selling no longer pushes price down: the bottom band lights up.

Exhaustion signals

A small diamond marks a turn out of an extreme zone that came with absorbed volume, at the top or at the bottom. Plain turns without absorption are not marked.

  1. The line is above 85 and heavy volume is absorbed: the top band lights up.
  2. The line turns down right after that: a diamond at the top.
  3. The mirror case at the low: a diamond at the bottom.

Strong turn signals

Two reversal signals sit at the edges of the pane. At a high, a triangle at the top after momentum fails on a second push and breaks its interim low. At a low, a triangle at the bottom for a bullish divergence where price undercuts its previous low by a clear margin.

  1. The second push stays below the first high: momentum fails near the top.
  2. The line breaks its interim low: a triangle at the top.
  3. Price undercuts its previous low while momentum holds higher: a triangle at the bottom.

Divergence

When price reaches a further extreme but momentum does not follow, a line joins the two peaks or troughs on the momentum line. Bearish lines sit above the midline, bullish ones below it. The line itself is the signal.

  1. Price makes a higher high, momentum a lower one: a bearish divergence line.
  2. Price makes a lower low, momentum a higher one: a bullish divergence line.

Direction dots

Optional dots mark every change of direction of the line: in the rising colour where it turns up, in the falling colour where it turns down. They follow the live bar and can change before it closes.

  1. The line turns up: a dot in the rising colour.
  2. It turns down: a dot in the falling colour.
  3. And up again: the next dot.

Period confidence

The line's measuring window comes from two readings of the market's pace. While they disagree, the line fades and the bar along the bottom gets shorter and paler; when they agree again, both are solid.

  1. The two readings drift apart: the line fades, the bar shrinks and turns grey.
  2. They agree again: the line is solid and the bar full.
